Simply Hired® Names Beth Prunier Senior Vice President of Sales

Filed under: Uncategorized — dzikinynacz @ 10:21 am

Former CareerBuilder executive brings more than 20 years of sales leadership experience to Simply Hired

Recruiting Trends Conference 2013 – Las Vegas, Nevada – October 24, 2013 – Simply Hired® today announced the appointment of Beth Prunier as Senior Vice President of Sales. Prunier joins Simply Hired from CareerBuilder and brings more than 20 years of experience in driving enterprise sales strategies and revenue growth. In her new role, she will guide global sales activities for Simply Hired as employers and agencies embrace the company’s performance-based advertising platform to cost-effectively reach the most relevant candidates.

“Beth has a very successful track record for developing high-performance teams and taking new, disruptive solutions into markets that were ripe for change,” said James Beriker, president and CEO of Simply Hired. “Job search has evolved from newspaper classifieds to online job boards to job search engines such as Simply Hired. We saw this kind of transformation from expensive display advertising to performance-based search engine marketing play out in online advertising. We are in the early days of that same transformation in recruiting. Beth’s leadership and executive sales experience will be tremendously valuable as we continue to educate the recruiting industry on the value of performance-based advertising and help transform an entire industry.”

Prunier comes to Simply Hired as the company continues to innovate new ways to connect employers and candidates. Simply Hired provides 30 million unique visitors per month with immediate access to 8 million job openings across all job categories and industries, and was recently named one of Forbes Magazine’s 10 Best Websites For Your Career for the second year running (see press release: Simply Hired Recognized for Top Search Experience, Superior Results). Independent, third-party research has shown that job search engines like Simply Hired drive a higher ratio of applications and hires for every dollar spent than traditional job boards. More than 19,000 employers currently use Simply Hired to boost recruiting performance and efficiency.

“Simply Hired is disrupting an industry with a new approach that provides recruiters with more flexibility, visibility and cost-effectiveness than any other employee sourcing solution, including job boards,” said Prunier. “Online recruiting is radically transforming as recruiters, who lost their resources in the 2008-2009 downturn, now have to fill more open positions - and do more with less. I’m incredibly excited to join James and the Simply Hired team to bring the power of performance-based advertising to employers and agencies around the world.”

Before joining Simply Hired, Prunier served as Vice President of Sales for CareerBuilder where she was responsible for sales strategies and revenue growth within the Enterprise Sales Group. This included managing both inside sales and field sales teams. In her role, she worked with Fortune 5,000 companies located throughout the East.

Prior to joining CareerBuilder in 2005, Prunier was the Area Vice President for InterCall where she was in charge of their National Account Division. She holds a degree in business from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Simply Hired® Releases New Data on the Mobile Job Seeker

Filed under: Uncategorized — dzikinynacz @ 10:21 am

What Recruiters Need to Know:
• The mobile audience is universal: mobile usage stretches across platforms, devices and job categories.
• Mobile users are serious, not snacking: metrics such as time on site, clickthrough rate and second session highlight that mobile users are more engaged with job opportunities.
• Job seekers switch from mobile to desktop when it is time to dig deeper: mobile job seekers are more likely to click on top job listings, with searches peaking on Monday and declining through the week. They turn to laptop or desktop to complete key actions such as revisiting job listings found earlier that day.

Recruiting Trends Conference 2013 – Las Vegas, Nevada – October 25, 2013 – The rapid proliferation of mobile devices and the ever-connected job seeker has created new opportunities and challenges for recruiters. Mobile is predicted to surpass desktop and laptop computers as the primary way people access the web by 2015 [1], and the number of workers searching for jobs via mobile devices has skyrocketed from 2.3 million to 9.3 million in the last year [2]. The need to quantify, understand and adapt to the mobile candidate has never been greater.

Today, Simply Hired® released a new study that details how people are using mobile devices in their job search. The analysis crunches data on more than 30 million job seekers to deliver new insight into how and why people are using mobile devices as compared to traditional online job search. The data paints a new picture of the mobile candidate as a highly engaged job seeker with unique needs and behaviors, and indicates areas where recruiters must evolve in order to keep up.

“Recent research estimates that only 20-30% of Fortune 500 companies currently offer mobile-friendly career sites and portals,” said James Beriker, president and CEO of Simply Hired. “Recruiters must figure out how to serve the mobile user or risk losing out on a massive pool of candidates. Our goal with this new research is to offer a data-driven picture of the mobile candidate in order to help recruiters reach these on-the-go candidates as effectively and efficiently as possible.”

Key finding: The mobile audience is universal
Simply Hired found that 30% of its job search traffic came from mobile devices. They expect this number to climb to 50% by the end of 2015, with usage spread across platforms and job categories.
• Mobile candidates come from all platforms: Users primarily use Android (44%), with iOS (29%) and Windows (26%) following closely behind. Additionally, 75% of all job clicks came from mobile phones and 25% came from their tablet.
• Mobile isn’t just for the millennial generation and tech geeks: The #1 most active category for mobile job search was office and administrative (14% of clicks from mobile), followed by healthcare practitioners (13% of clicks from mobile).
• Position matters more on mobile: Mobile users are more likely to click on the top 3 search results compared to desktop users (35% to 25%).

Key finding: Mobile users are serious, not snacking
Data from Simply Hired revealed that mobile candidates are not just killing time or ’snacking’ on opportunities, but more engaged than the average desktop candidate when it comes to spending time with job listings.
• Mobile users stay longer and interact more: Mobile users are 30% more likely to have a second session in the same month. They click on 60% more job postings and they spend longer looking at those jobs (+27%). They also spend 25% more time on the site and view more jobs (+25%).

Key finding: Job seekers switch from mobile to desktop when it is time to dig deeper
The Simply Hired study found that job seekers use both mobile and desktop - but at different times, for different reasons. While behavior differs by channel, recruiters need to deliver a consistent experience to most effectively support candidates.
• Job seekers turn to different channels at different times: Mobile job search peaks on Monday (18%) and hits a low point on Saturday (10%). The primetime for mobile job search is between 8 and 9 p.m. compared to 11:30 a.m. for desktop.
• Mobile users more likely to switch to desktop to investigate: The study shows that mobile users revisit the same job 60% more than desktop users. When mobile users revisit the job for the second time, they are more likely to view it using a desktop.

The data is based on job seeker activity on simplyhired.com, which sees more than 30 million unique monthly visitors. Data was collected between August 1 and August 30, 2013.

ZipRecruiter Unveils One-Click Social Recruiting

Filed under: Uncategorized — dzikinynacz @ 10:11 am

ZipRecruiter debuts simultaneous job posting to LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter with a single click.

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — ZipRecruiter, a web-based service that enables employers to post to more than 20 of the web’s leading job boards with one submission has announced the addition of a new one-click social recruiting feature.

“We created ZipRecruiter to help hiring managers distribute their job listings to the maximum number of potential candidates in the minimum amount of time,” said Ian Siegel, Co-Founder and CEO of ZipRecruiter. “With 75 percent of organizations now recruiting talent through social media giants like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, our one-click social recruiting feature was an obvious next step.”

One-click social recruiting comes at no cost to ZipRecruiter members and gives employers a simple solution for broadcasting open job opportunities throughout their social networks. Employers can also opt to have those announcements automatically re-posted to the social networks at the frequency of their choice.

“Facebook statuses tend to disappear from the News Feed within hours and Twitter posts are gone within minutes or seconds; this is a problem when you want a lot of eyes on your job posting,” explained Siegel. “By re-posting job announcements to social networks every few days, hiring companies not only become more active in their online communities, but they also amplify their reach.”

One-click social recruiting is now available alongside ZipRecruiter’s job posting service, resume database, free recruiter websites, and online screening interviews, adding yet another tool for recruiters and employers to find top candidates fast.

About ZipRecruiter

ZipRecruiter offers the fastest and easiest way to get an employer job posting in front of millions of candidates. ZipRecruiter’s web-based platform streamlines the hiring process by enabling employers to post a job to over 20 leading job boards with one click and manage all applicants through a simple online interface. By providing a central location for finding, screening, and tracking applicants, ZipRecruiter empowers employers to make the best hiring decisions quickly and at a fraction of the cost of traditional job boards.

ZipRecruiter Unveils ZipSites, Free Websites for Recruiters
Web’s fastest and easiest way to get a job listing in front of millions of candidates introduces customized websites to help recruiters create a professional presence online

SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — ZipRecruiter, a web-based service that streamlines the hiring process by enabling companies to post to more than 20 leading job boards with one click, today introduced ZipSites, a new feature that lets recruiters create free, customizable websites to advertise their services and job openings. ZipSites offer recruiters a way to quickly build and maintain a professional online presence without having to spend considerable time and money on designers or programmers.

Setting up a ZipSite for the first time takes less than ten minutes. ZipRecruiter first walks recruiters through choosing their own layout and colors, uploading a logo and selecting a new URL. Recruiters can then add available positions through a simple interface and automatically post them to more than 20 leading job boards. In addition, each ZipSite can be customized with the recruiter’s company overview, available services, team bios and contact information. A recruiter’s job postings are automatically connected to their website, and they can edit any of the site content at any time. ZipSites also feature SEO-optimized content that is automatically indexed by search engines, which ensures that the right candidates can easily find and apply to the recruiter’s open positions.

“Since ZipRecruiter launched, we’ve spoken to hundreds of recruiters, and learned that creating and maintaining a website is one of the bigger challenges recruiters face,” said Ian Siegel, ZipRecruiter’s co-founder and CEO. “We developed ZipSites to provide recruiters a free and easy way to create and maintain a professional presence online where they can promote their available positions. Everything is point-and-click editable which means recruiters never need to pay a designer or programmer to keep their site up to date. This is another step in ZipRecruiter’s goal to streamline the hiring process for everyone - from small businesses to recruiters.”

Offering free websites for recruiters complements ZipRecruiter’s existing suite of services, which includes job posting distribution, applicant tracking, and a searchable resume database. Thousands of new businesses are signing up for ZipRecruiter every month, with more than 30% of new customers coming from word of mouth.
